The Midview Middies will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the North Ridgeville Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Monday, Midview ended up a good deal behind Elyria Catholic and lost 72-56. Midview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, North Ridgeville entered their tilt with Elyria with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. North Ridgeville enjoyed a cozy 65-51 victory over Elyria on Friday. Given North Ridgeville's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Elyria is ranked 555th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Midview has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for North Ridgeville, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Midview took a serious blow against North Ridgeville when the teams last played back in January, falling 73-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Ridgeville's Grace Kingery, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Now that Midview knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
