The Potlatch Loggers will take on the Prairie Pirates at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Potlatch's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Troy. The Loggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Michael Scalzo

| 04/07/26 @ Kendrick | 3 |
| 04/06/26 vs Troy | 2 |
| 03/28/26 vs Timberlake | 2 |
| 03/27/26 vs Portland Christian | 2 |
Michael Scalzo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Mitchell, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jay Marshall, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Potlatch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Troy only posted a batting average of .188.
Meanwhile, Prairie had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since May 10, 2025.
Kade Quintal made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Quintal was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Levi McElroy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Patrick Schlader was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Potlatch's record is now 13-2. As for Prairie, their record now sits at 12-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Potlatch has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Prairie struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Potlatch was able to grind out a solid victory over Prairie in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 9-6. Will the Loggers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
