Meanwhile, Trinity Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 60-55 to Wake Christian Academy.
Cary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Trinity Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
