Edgewater had won seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 10-0 to make it eight. They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Boone Braves. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Edgewater's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Emanuel led the charge by throwing for 177 yards and one TD while completing 92.9% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Damian Moore helped Emanuel out on the ground, rushing for 77 yards and one score.
Having lost for the first time this season, Boone fell to 9-1. They were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the four matchups prior), but Edgewater's defense proved too tough.
Despite the loss, Boone still got an impressive performance from Aaron Hardy Jr, who rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown.
As of now, neither Edgewater nor the Braves have any future games scheduled.
