The Health Sciences Surgeons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-51 victory over Mountain Empire. The victory was just what Health Sciences needed coming off of a 70-34 defeat in their prior contest.
Mountain Empire's loss came despite strong showings from Corey Vann and Andrew Sepulveda. Vann dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds, while Sepulveda dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Sepulveda hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Shawcroft, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Health Sciences pushed their record up to 5-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Mountain Empire, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Health Sciences does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mountain Empire also has no future games currently scheduled.
