Peoples Baptist Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Peoples Baptist Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 63-36 win over Appling Christian Academy. The win was just what Peoples Baptist Academy needed coming off of a 76-39 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Old Suwanee Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to Trinity Prep on the road by a decisive 82-68 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Amari Chatman, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Rojas, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Peoples Baptist Academy's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Old Suwanee Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.
Peoples Baptist Academy was dealt a bruising 80-29 defeat at the hands of the Conquerors when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Peoples Baptist Academy was down 50-21.
