Christian Fellowship have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 77-16 victory over Liberty Christian Academy. Christian Fellowship's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Christian Fellowship to victory were Brooke Grathwohl and Ariya Barton. Grathwohl scored 20 points along with seven steals, while Barton dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten steals. The match was Grathwohl's third in a row with at least ten points. Kylie Babich was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Lauren Moss, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Moss scored a full 93.8% of Liberty Christian Academy's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Even though they lost, Liberty Christian Academy were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Fellowship only pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
The win was the fourth in a row for Christian Fellowship, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship will challenge Jamestown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Christian Fellowship in Missouri (Jamestown is ranked 97th, while Christian Fellowship is ranked 202nd). Liberty Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Wellsville-Middletown at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
