For the second straight game, Round Lake will face off against Grayslake North. The Panthers will take on the Knights at 4:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Round Lake is on  a four-game streak of home losses, and Grayslake North an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck.
Round Lake took a 18-run  loss the last time they faced off against Grayslake North, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-5  win over the Knights  on Tuesday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Daniel Russ made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Those  seven  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.

 Grayslake North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Round Lake, their  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 3-13.
