Fort Gibson extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 4 this week by beating Poteau, 49-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Sallisaw took down College 63-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Muldrow's Dawson Floyd and Colton Keith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Floyd has thrown for 515 yards this season, while Keith, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 25 catches for 367 yards. The Pirates' Roger Barcheers leads the league in rushing yards with 556.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Poteau takes on Cascia Hall. Greg Werner's team's offense has recorded 128 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Commandos have permitted only 63 on the year.
A big matchup in 4A District 4 this week will be when the Pirates take on Cascia Hall. At the moment, Poteau is in third, while Joe Medina's team is in second.
The Bulldogs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,747 from 8,509. The improvement was the result of 37-14 victory over Muldrow last week.
