Leading Knox to victory were Caleb Schwandt and Jashawn Tinsley. Schwandt almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds, while Tinsley almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. It was the first time this season that Tinsley posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Myles Mclaughlin, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
When it comes to explaining why West Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryce Nannenga. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. That was a full 66.7% of West Central's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
West Central struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Knox pulled down 11 offensive rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Knox and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for West Central, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Knox will head out on the road to square off against the Indians at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Twin Lakes will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. West Central will take on the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frontier is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
