The Trumbull Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Bridgeport Central 68-34 at home. That 34 points margin sets a new team best for Trumbull this season.
Despite the loss, Bridgeport Central saw an underclassman step up: Keyanna Kendrick scored eight points along with five rebounds. Amaya Womack was another key contributor, scoring six points.
The victory (which was Trumbull's third in a row) raised their record to 8-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Bridgeport Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Trumbull will be playing in front of their home fans against Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Darien will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Trumbull is ranked 46th). As for Bridgeport Central, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
