Glendale headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Bishop Carroll let them put that streak behind them. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand the Huskies an 11-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Glendale let Macy Snyder and Emma Gilbey run wild. Snyder got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs, while Gilbey got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Snyder has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Leah Boslet, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blacklick Valley). They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over Ferndale on Thursday. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Savannah Woods spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She also set a new season-high mark in stolen bases with three.
On the hitting side, Zoey Richards was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. Lauren Rohrabaugh was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Blacklick Valley picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Glendale, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Blacklick Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Glendale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Blacklick Valley, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Glendale's hitters?
