The Kennedy Knights can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They breezed by Clifton at home to the tune of 40-10. Given Kennedy's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Clifton is ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
My'Shayla Clancy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Kennedy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Perla Reyes, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Kennedy pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Clifton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will challenge Wayne Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clifton, they will head out on the road to face off against Indian Hills at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
