Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Willard couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Spartans on Wednesday. The Crimson Flashes' defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.
 Willard couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Pleasant a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 31-33,  25-16.
  Kamryn Roberts was nothing short of spectacular for Pleasant: she  had 30  digs and three  aces. Roberts has been hot for a while, having  posted ten or more  digs the last 23 times she's  played.
Willard's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Pleasant, their victory was  their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 25-1.
 Willard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant, they will face off against Huron at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
