Softball Recap: Mineola Has No Trouble Against White Oak

While Mineola put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for White Oak. The Yellowjackets blew past the Roughnecks 14-0. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Kali Chrietzberg was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Anna Castleberry was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The win made it two in a row for Mineola and bumps their season record up to 16-11-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for White Oak, they dropped their record down to 14-14-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Mineola will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Roughnecks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
