The White County Warriors came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Livingston Academy with a 54-49 victory. Given White County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Livingston Academy is ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Celeste Reed continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bella Winingham, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
White County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-2. As for Livingston Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
White County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Signal Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully White County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. Livingston Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
