Spoto is 2-7 against Durant since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Spoto Spartans just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Durant Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. Spoto will be strutting in after a victory while Durant will be coming in after a loss.
Spoto put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Middleton 60-26 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Spoto.
Meanwhile, Durant came up short against Gaither on Tuesday and fell 48-35.
Spoto's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Durant, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.
Spoto was able to grind out a solid victory over Durant in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 42-35. Does Spoto have another victory up their sleeve, or will Durant turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
