The McDade Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 41-21 walloping at the hands of Fayetteville. McDade has not had much luck with Fayetteville recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
McDade's loss came despite strong showings from Jessica Dube and Alexis Pacheco. Dube scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals, while Pacheco scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Lauren Glosson was another key contributor, scoring a points.
Kayme Schley was the offensive standout of the contest as she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Fayetteville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Jurecka, who scored seven points.
McDade now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Fayetteville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDade will take on Round Top-Carmine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fayetteville, they will head out on the road to face off against Richards at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
