After flying high against the Shekinah Christian Flames last Monday, the Tree of Life Christian Trojans came back down to earth. Tree of Life Christian took a hard 42-23 fall against Madison Christian on Friday. Tree of Life Christian lost against Madison Christian in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-34 score last time.
Madison Christian found their leader in underclassman Lexi Wray, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Wray has scored at least 25% of Madison Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Wray, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Tree of Life Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Madison Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Tree of Life Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Delaware Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Shekinah Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
