The PikeView Panthers will face off against the Summers County Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
PikeView's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Nicholas County 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

 Landon Bolen
| 04/29/25 @ Sissonville | 4 |
| 04/23/25 vs Asheville | 3 |
| 04/16/25 vs Greenbrier East | 1 |
| 03/19/25 @ Summers County | 1 |
The result came thanks to Landon Bolen's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because PikeView is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drew Damewood, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Trenton Tolliver was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Summers County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bluefield on Thursday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bobcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Robey Brown was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Colten Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Summers County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-16-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for PikeView, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. PikeView has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Summers County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
PikeView took their victory against Summers County in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
