Kohl Collins' Big Game Leads Fairfield over Teague
Starting off the list is Fairfield's Kohl Collins, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Collins threw for 363 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played.
The victory (which was Fairfield's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Collins and Fairfield will venture away from home to face off against Huntington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Teague came up short on Friday despite Zak Leija delivering his best game to date. Leija rushed for 196 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for Teague: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Fairfield had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Leija it was a similar story. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Leija saw the Eagles), he rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Diboll was led to victory by Michael Mosley, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mosley rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries.

Shed Came Up Big in Fairfield's 50-43 Win
The second Fairfield player making an appearance here is Jaylon Shed, and for good reason. He rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown.
This year, Shed has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 23.8 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 57.17 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 87 rushing yards.
