The Wilson Lakemen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 76-39 loss at the hands of Newfane. While losing is never fun, Wilson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 723rd, while the Panthers are ranked 183rd).
It was another big night for Landon Braman, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and five assists for Newfane. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Braman has scored all season. Capen Mac was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Wilson dropped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Newfane, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
Wilson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th. As for Newfane, they will take on the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
