The Woodsboro Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Three Rivers Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodsboro will be strutting in after a win while Three Rivers will be coming in after a defeat.
Woodsboro had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Yorktown 54-39 on Friday. The win was just what Woodsboro needed coming off of a 52-31 defeat in their prior match.
Woodsboro can attribute much of their success to Jordan Zena, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Jochetz, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Three Rivers managed to keep up with Skidmore-Tynan until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Three Rivers was the victim of a tough 63-39 loss at the hands of Skidmore-Tynan.
Woodsboro's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-24. As for Three Rivers, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.
Woodsboro came up short against Three Rivers in their previous matchup back in January, falling 56-47. Can Woodsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
