It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-12, which was the final score in Tradition Prep's tilt against Coral Springs Charter on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tradition Prep has scored all season.
Coral Springs Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayde Riley, who scored 20 points. Isabella Ramos was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Tradition Prep's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.7 points per game. As for Coral Springs Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tradition Prep will square off against Pine at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Coral Springs Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Miramar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Miramar comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
