The Hoover Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Green Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Hoover is ranked 57th, while Green is ranked 37th).
Hoover unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-37 to Jackson.
Despite the loss, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Hershberger scored 15 points. Crew Cain was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Green scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 84-59 margin over Washington. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hoover's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Green, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Hoover came up short against Green when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 51-40. Can Hoover avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
