Connersville had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They never let the Batesville Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 11 runs or more this season.

Jade Green made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Connersville let Maggie Spurlock and Taylynn Selby run wild. Spurlock went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Selby went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Selby has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmen Ruble, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Connersville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.

Connersville pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Batesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Connersville has already played their next matchup, a 7-5 victory against Shelbyville on the 22nd. As for Batesville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Greensburg on the 1st.
