Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Fruitdale Pirates, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Demons on Monday. Fruitdale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Fruitdale still got an impressive performance from Genna Ivy, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That was a full 52.6% of Fruitdale's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Holland, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Fruitdale has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for McIntosh, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.
Fruitdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McIntosh also has no future games currently scheduled.
