The Winters Blizzards will square off against the Coleman Bluecats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Winters' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Ballinger 14-0. That 14-run margin sets a new team best for the Blizzards this season.

Mark Moreno made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Winters: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Winters let Jonah Whitaker and Haydin Collins run wild. Whitaker went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Collins went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Collins has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ajay Soto, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Winters always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Coleman won against Bangs on Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Bluecats put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bluecats, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Brady Elder, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. Braylon Stewart was another key player, earning one run and two stolen bases.
Winters pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Coleman, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Winters has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Coleman struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Winters suffered a grim 21-3 defeat to Coleman in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Blizzards avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
