Oxford Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against Los Amigos recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Oxford Academy Patriots will be playing at home against the Los Amigos Lobos at 4:45 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Oxford Academy will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating La Quinta, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Oxford Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against La Quinta on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Oxford Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 15-12.

Andy Ha and Dawson Nguyen were among the main playmakers for Oxford Academy as the former had 14 digs and two assists and the latter had eight kills, seven digs, and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Nguyen a new career-high. Ayden Nguyen also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.
Los Amigos won the last time they faced Orange, and Adam Tran did his part to make sure it happened again. Los Amigos skirted past Orange 3-2 for which the team can thank Tran, who had 25 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Los Amigos took Orange into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24, 20-25, 21-25, 15-11.
Oxford Academy pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Los Amigos, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything went Oxford Academy's way against Los Amigos when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Oxford Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. Will Oxford Academy repeat their success, or does Los Amigos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
