The Christian County Colonels waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Crittenden County 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Christian County was led to victory by NeVaeh Day and Anaysia Bagwell. Day dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Bagwell scored 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bagwell has scored at least a third of Christian County's points.
Christian County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Crittenden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Christian County will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crittenden County, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Trigg County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Rockets are ranked 123rd).
