On Tuesday, Rondout Valley was able to grind out a solid  win over Red Hook, taking the game  7-3.
Meanwhile, Middletown didn't have quite enough to beat Valley Central on Tuesday and fell  3-2.
  Jarod Melendez was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  he  hit this season.
 Rondout Valley now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
