Amity Regional and North Haven are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Amity Regional Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the North Haven Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Amity Regional is ranked 49th, while North Haven is ranked 36th).
Last Tuesday, Amity Regional didn't have too much trouble with Lauralton Hall at home as they won 52-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Amity Regional.
Meanwhile, North Haven made easy work of Guilford on Tuesday and carried off a 59-36 victory.
Amity Regional pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for North Haven, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
Amity Regional was able to grind out a solid victory over North Haven when the teams last played back in January, winning 72-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Amity Regional since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
