The Buhl Indians will take on the Cole Valley Christian Chargers in a tournament on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Buhl is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past McCall-Donnelly 16-3 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Meghan Blacker was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Blacker was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jenna Ambrose, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Megan Ambrose also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Buhl always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian faced Kimberly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Chargers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Chargers have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Karlie Barnum, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Kimberly off the board. Barnum has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Abbie English was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauren Colson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Cole Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Buhl, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
