The Jonesboro Cardinals waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Morrow with points to spare, taking the game 74-55. Jonesboro pushed the score to 62-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Montez Redding, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 1 assist. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was London Wingfield, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Jonesboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Morrow, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Morrow won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
