The Medina Mustangs entered their tilt with the Wilson Lakemen with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Medina walked away with a 63-54 victory over Wilson on Friday. For Medina, this counts as revenge for the 58-45 defeat Wilson walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Medina got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Pitts out in front who scored 24 points. That's the first time this season that Pitts scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Woodworth, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
The win got Medina back to even at 6-6. As for Wilson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Royalton-Hartland the next time they take the court. Wilson will head out to face Royalton-Hartland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Medina will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
