Football Recap: Lake Oswego Piles Up the Points Against Sprague

With a playoff win on the line, Lake Oswego rose to the challenge on Friday. They breezed past the Sprague Olympians to the tune of 49-14. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won nine contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Although Sprague took the loss, they still got scores from Mason Splonski and Carter Nguyen.

The win (which was Lake Oswego's third in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average over those games. As for Sprague, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Lake Oswego will square off against Grants Pass on Saturday. The Lakers will need to watch out since the Cavemen have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Sprague does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
