The Freeman Scotties won the last time they faced the West Valley Eagles, and things went their way on Thursday too. Freeman narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past West Valley 40-38. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Freeman has scored all year.
Freeman was led to victory by Taylee Phelps and Natalie Semprimoznik. Phelps scored 17 points, while Semprimoznik scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Phelps has scored at least 25% of Freeman's points.
The win got Freeman back to even at 3-3. As for West Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Freeman won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Colville at 7:15 p.m. on December 15th. Colville will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. West Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Hermiston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
