The Brentwood School Eagles waltzed into their matchup Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 71-58 win over Higley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Higley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Gloor, who scored 19 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The contest was Gloor's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Donovan Dabney, who scored 21 points.
Brentwood School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Higley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Brentwood School and Rancho Verde will face off at 9:30 a.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rancho Verde will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Higley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cactus Shadows at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
