Natalia is 8-2 against Dilley since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Natalia Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Dilley Wolves at 6:30 p.m. Natalia is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Natalia posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Cotulla 65-40.
It was another big night for Anaya Jones, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Yahdi Lujan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Dilley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 14th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lytle, falling 93-15. Dilley has not had much luck with Lytle recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Natalia's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Dilley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-20.
Everything came up roses for Natalia against Dilley when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the team secured a 58-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Natalia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
