The East Tech Scarabs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Campus International 120-14 at home. East Tech has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
East Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Amani Mitchell out in front who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. Chris Simon was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten steals.
The victory (which was East Tech's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Campus International, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Tech won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Averaging 86.92 points so far this season, Mentor's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Scarabs better be ready for a challenge. As for Campus International, they will head out on the road to take on the Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
