Hammond Baptist won the last time they faced Heritage Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Hammond Baptist Swordsmen came out on top against the Heritage Christian Defenders by a score of 52-43. The win was just business as usual for the Swordsmen, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Several Defenders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Regnerus, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Ophoff, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points.

Hammond Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Heritage Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

When Hammond Baptist and Heritage Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hammond Baptist will try to stop Unity Christian Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Similarly, Heritage Christian will try to stop Kankakee Trinity Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
