Prairie Lea is 3-0 against Austwell-Tivoli since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Prairie Lea Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Austwell-Tivoli Redfish at 4:00 p.m. Prairie Lea is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, Prairie Lea took a serious blow against Pettus, falling 79-30. Prairie Lea was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Austwell-Tivoli proved they can win big back in December of 2023 (they won by 29) but back in January they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pettus and snuck past 56-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Austwell-Tivoli.
Prairie Lea's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Austwell-Tivoli, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
Prairie Lea was able to grind out a solid victory over Austwell-Tivoli in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 68-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Prairie Lea since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
