The Garden Spot Spartans will head out to take on the Eastern Lebanon County Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Garden Spot will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Friday, Garden Spot got the win against Warwick by a conclusive 12-4. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ryder Hertzler made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Brody Torrance was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Madix Bracken was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Garden Spot was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Eastern Lebanon County posted their closest victory since April 15, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Conestoga Valley, sneaking past 9-8.
John Stauffer looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Bicher, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Braden Gettle, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Garden Spot's record is now 8-9. As for Eastern Lebanon County, their record now sits at 10-7.
Garden Spot suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Eastern Lebanon County when the teams last played on April 9th. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
