The Otis-Bison Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 42-26 fall against Dighton. That's two games in a row now that Otis-Bison has lost by exactly 16 points.
Dighton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rielly James led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. James has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Myers, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Otis-Bison has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Dighton, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Otis-Bison will take on Sylvan-Lucas at TBD on Friday. Sylvan-Lucas will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Dighton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greeley County at 6:00 p.m.
