The Houlka Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Starkville Academy Volunteers at 10:45 a.m. on December 28th. Houlka has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Houlka scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Vardaman 73-40 on the road. That 73-40 margin sets a new team best for Houlka this season.
Houlka had a senior duo take command as Elijah Kilpatrick scored 15 points and Neal Moore scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Winter, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Starkville Academy beat Lamar 49-37 on Tuesday.
Houlka now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Starkville Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
