Marian had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against the Portage Northern Huskies by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marian took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14.

Quinn Nelson paced Marian's offense, picking up six kills. Nelson got some help from Allie Davison and her 17 assists. Joelle Mio and Sophia Smith kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Marian's win bumped their record up to 38-4. As for Portage Northern, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-20-1 record this season.

Marian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Grosse Pointe South on the 25th. As for Portage Northern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Jenison on the 25th.
