Auburn and Leicester are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Auburn Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Leicester Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Auburn will be strutting in after a victory while Leicester will be coming in after a defeat.
Auburn had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Bay Path RVT by a score of 65-53 on Tuesday. That looming 65-53 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Auburn yet this season.
Meanwhile, Leicester suffered a tough 48-22 loss at the hands of Quaboag Regional on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Leicester in their matchups with Quaboag Regional: they've now lost six in a row.
Auburn's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Leicester, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Auburn beat Leicester 45-37 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Auburn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
