The Vance County Vipers stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They really took it to Granville Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-26 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Vance County who now have six in a row.
Vance County found their leader in underclassman Da'Shunti Hester, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hester has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakhiyah Evans, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Vance County pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Granville Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Vance County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-27 victory vs. Durham School of the Arts on the 9th. Granville Central has also already played their next contest, a 58-46 defeat against J.F. Webb on the 9th.
