It was a good run, but West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights 57-53.

Lafayette Central Catholic was led to victory by Ray Clayton and Bobby Metzger. Clayton went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points, while Metzger posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards Metzger has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Seaburg, who had six points.

West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]'s defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-30 victory against Hamilton on the 21st. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-50 loss against Rossville on the 21st.
