Tanque Verde is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Douglas, who was ranked 14th at the time (Tanque Verde was ranked 23rd). The Hawks never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won four contests in a row.

Tanque Verde got a big performance out of Ella Haggard, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Haggard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Cantalicio, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Coolidge posted their closest victory since April 30, 2025 on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Miami 11-10. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Vandals: they've now won six in a row.
The team relied heavily on Aubriana Cavazos, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Azaria White, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Coolidge's victory bumped their record up to 2-3-2. As for Tanque Verde, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tanque Verde hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .367. However, it's not like Coolidge struggles in that department as they've averaged .406. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
